On the morning of 1st, January, “Shenzhen Intangible Cultural Heritage—He Cheng Traditional Snack Production Skills Teaching Base” officially hung out its shingle in our school. It was also the first time that “Intangible Cultural Heritage Teaching Base” settled down in school. In the activity of that day, students together with their parents experienced the skills of Shenzhen Intangible Cultural Heritage.
First of all, vice president Chen Jian told about the traditional etiquette and culture. His passionate speech inspired students and parents’ enthusiasm to learn intangible cultural heritage and understand its unique charm. Later, everyone watched “Fuyong Lion Dance” which was performed by the adorable children from Baocheng Primary School.
Then there was the opening ceremony. After raising the national flag, Chen Ganzhong, the president of Bao’an traditional culture association gave an address. The headmaster of Baocheng Primary School, Lin Xiyu, made a speech. The student representative, Liu Junhan, made a speech. The president of Shenzhen commercial association, Zhuang Lixiang, made a speech. There are also other guests, including vice director of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Bao’an District, Liu Yinghong, former director of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Bao’an District, He Zhihong, former director of Shenzhen Tourist Administration, Chi Xiongbiao, former director of Shenzhen Department of Transportation, Liu Zhijiao, former director of Shenzhen Justice Bureau, Huang Zhenfen, president of Shenzhen business holding company, Feng Yulin, director of Bao’an Working Committee for the Care of

Protection Association, Wang Chengtai, curator of Shenzhen Public Art Center, Liu Mingjun, headmaster of Shenzhen Baocheng Primary School, Lin Xiyu, chairman of Heng Yu Bright Express, Chen Helin, president of Bao’an traditional culture association,Chen Ganzhong and so on. All the leaders and guests launched Shenzhen intangible cultural heritage “Shenzhen (He Cheng) Traditional Snack Production Skill Teaching Base”.
At last, the students’ parents experienced the intangible cultural heritage skills. We made knowledge walls with detailed explanations of traditional etiquette and culture. And we also presented the production methods of Shenzhen specialty “a kind of Chinese wafers” and some other traditional snacks which were available for tasting.
Mr.Lin said that through this kind of activity, we could make “intangible cultural heritage” rooted in schools, inject vitality into school art education and arouse students’ sense of national culture identity.
