On May 17th and 18th, Baocheng Primary School held school food festival, which aimed to further propagate healthy diet culture, enrich cultural life of teachers and students, enhance the emotional communication between teachers, students and their parents and develop students’ practical abilities. Students, parents and teachers of more than thirty classes enthusiastically took part in this food carnival.
Delicious pastry, spicy barbecue, fruit carving, western food, Korean dishes and a superb collection of all kinds of local snacks filled with the dining table of each store. The rigorous school changed into a cuisine street which was full of aroma and joy. Different kinds of promotion ways were emerging in an endless way, such as the eye-catching signs, lively lottery, collective dance for business opening, advertising, waving slogan, street selling star chef and distributing advertising leaflets, which were all deserve everybody’s comments and appreciation. All the adults and children were attracted by all kinds of tasty foods. They all walked into the cuisine street with imprinted vouchers in their hands. After enjoying the decoration and music of each store, they played a most vivid “A Bite of Baocheng” with smiling and eyes.
The delicacy culture theme activity combines food culture, parent-child activities with environmental protection education, thanksgiving education and thrift education. It not only brings joy but also simulates a social stage for students to practice hands-on skills, to educate through entertainment, which provides students a good quality education and survival education.
